Let us all know when your wife / mother / daughter dies so we can all throw a party to celebrate.

Pitiful excuse of a human being.

Reguardless of her failings, they stem from one reason and one reason only, labour's fuck up whilst in power, much the same as the present government are being demonised due to labour's monumental fuck up.

History repeating itself d, surely not, but then, the n ajority will never learn, and labour will be in once again for another decade of fuck ups before leaving the mess for others to clean up

So your saying that she rescued the economy from what Labour done.... and now Cococunt macaroon is doing the same. Rescuing the economy from Labours fuck up?

Another spin on this story could be Labour rescues the working class of Britain from the Tory fuck up but lets not get into schematics eh?

Maybe, but I find it incredibly unlikely they are reading BCF (which you seem to have mixed up with facebook, twitter, or any other modern wanky method of conveying 'support', 'awareness' or 'pseudo-sympathy')

21 exclamation marks ffs.. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

(The same sentiment also applies to the rest of noobs above (except Snodvan, who's posts I normally appreciate)).

45 years riding bikes and I'm a noob Shocked I am bereft Very Happy
(just on this forum).

I don't do Facebook, twitter, social media support, awareness or pseudo sympathy, I just don't appreciate people posting their joy at someone dying.
If you didn't like her politics fair enough (I didn't either) but discuss that.

I dont like the fact that she killed thousands of people, including members of my family.
Thats why I am rejoicing.

Do some homework.

May she RIH for all eternity.

Less than two months on this forum with the huge total of 5 posts, so yep, noob it is I'm afraid. I'll discuss what I want thanks, it's an open forum and a free world.

You might feel its wrong to speak ill of the dead. I feel it's wrong to deify an objectionable human being. I would (and did) hold and express these views when she was alive, so what's changed ?

It's princess fucking Diana all over again... Or shouldn't I say that in case one of the princes is reading ?

I am well aware of her political past, I don't need to do homework, I was there for most of it.
And I agree with your position on her culpability in the contaminated blood scandal and also her manoeuvring in the Falklands that took the country to war.
I never said I liked her, I didn't.

I personally prefer humanity to hatred, but hey...strokes for folks.

This article puts it far more eloquently than I could, but Thatcher is not just an ordinary person. Personally I can see the good she did and that breaking the unions was a necessity. I think without her during difficult times globally the UK would've become an irrelevance. The UK has her to thank for it's current position as a powerful force in(ish) Europe. Without it the UK would be just another mid level state at best.

I do, however, understand the reactions of many who rejoice that the purveyor of serious harm/perceived harm to them is dead. Perhaps they will now come to terms with the injustice/perceived injustice they received and move on...

This demand for respectful silence in the wake of a public figure's death is not just misguided but dangerous. That one should not speak ill of the dead is arguably appropriate when a private person dies, but it is wildly inappropriate for the death of a controversial public figure, particularly one who wielded significant influence and political power. "Respecting the grief" of Thatcher's family members is appropriate if one is friends with them or attends a wake they organize, but the protocols are fundamentally different when it comes to public discourse about the person's life and political acts.

Don't speak ill of the dead, even if they are a murderer?

GTFO, and I hope you are happy in the land she has destroyed.

I never said not to speak ill of the dead, and I agree that she destroyed Scotland and caused irreparable harm to the rest of the UK.

My personal opinion of the woman is probably similar to that of the many that are rejoicing at her death.

I just find that rejoicing at someones death to be unedifying and out of order.

I guess that I am old fashioned, and much as I have enjoyed this debate I think I will go back to reading the threads on bikes, which is what I've done for the last few years (when I can get an internet connection).
