PostPosted: 08:50 - 13 Apr 2013    Post subject: superbyke batteries Reply with quote

Hey, I have a superbyke RMX 125cc and the battry, I think has been drained. I have charged it for 22 hours and it buzzes when I try to start it. So I believe its a new battery job, but where can I buy one from? I can't find any for a reasonable price. And also will a superbyke RMR 125 battery fit and work in the RMX??
Thanks

Firstly, old thread is old. Secondly, look at the reference code that's printed on the battery; it'll give you something to google, so you can find a similar battery on t'tinterwebs.

chinesemotorcyclepartsonline.com would be a good place to start loking for parts, though.

What do you mean by the thread is old?

A conversation on a forum is called a thread. This thread first started some years ago, and had been left to die about a year and a half ago. You resurrected it with your question; as a rule, it's generally accepted that if a thread has been left for a long time (typically longer than a few months), it's better to start with a new thread.

Forum etiquette aside, have a look on the parts website I listed, and see if you can get a reference number for the battery; I'm sure there are cheaper suppliers online, or you might be able to get a bike shop to turf one up for not much money.

As an example, this ebay page has got one for £32. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the reference number available, although with the dimensions that are listed, as well as the voltage and the capacity specification, I'm sure that some focused googling could give you a reference number to work with.

Surely, being god and all that, you don't need to ask.

1.) This is an ancient thread

2.) No two stroke engine will fit easily. If you want to do it you'll need to do lots of measuring, fabrication and welding. You'd be better off selling it and buying a Yamaha DT125.

3.) If you want to jack up the rear suspension, you're better off selling it and buying a Yamaha DT125.

4.) I thought god was omnipotent. I was clearly wrong.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
