How many of you have had the wally in the white van or the BMV driver decide to throw their ciggy out of the car window just as you filter pass.
Had some idiot do it to me today, Landed right in my lap. I couldnt stop because of the traffic and grabbing a dog end with winter gloves on is impossible. I managed to filter to lights and jump off and get rid of it. No damage to clothes or bike but there could have been.
I waited at the lights for the van and pointed out the errors of HER ways, looked at me as if i was a raving loony and drove off through the red light.

Bad enough the bastards trying to knock you off now there latest ploy is to incinerate you.

And yes, i smoke and i drive but I dont ditch the ciggy out od the window, thats what ashtrays are for.

They usually only do that just after you have spent hours cleaning and polishing the bike.

Havn't had that happen to me, although on the same topic my uncle had someone when he was driving his car throw a cigarette out their window and it went in his window, landed on the passenger seat and the seat then caught fire. Shocked Not exactly what you want to have to deal with as you're going down the motorway as he had to put the fire out using his jumper.

It's happened to me. On every occasion that I can, I pick it up off my tank and put it back through the window with the helpful words, "I think you dropped this."

Car-drivers don't like lit cigarettes falling into their laps.

Another ploy I have used is to pull up next to them at lights and ask them about their car. Get all the details of mpg, engine size etc, and then ask, "Does it come with ashtrays as standard?"

true missfickle i really dont think they are doing it on purpose! if you think about it most car drivers arent excepting anything to come up along side that at all when sitting in traffic etc, you could turn it round and say they dropped there fag out the window and we stole it on our bikes and say we should look out more :S (ok so thats a bit far fectched you get the drift)

Happened to me once. It was 2 Summers ago & I had arrived at a set of lights, filtering between two cars. Just as I put my feet down the driver to my left through his butt out and it landed on my lap. He looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and smiled. I picked it up, shrugged my shoulders and threw it back through his open window, just as the lights changed . The look of horror on his face was something I will never forget. I just saw it land in the passenger footwell of his car as I moved off and in my mirror saw he had disappeared behind the wheel as the traffic behind him started to hoot him. I was laughing all the way home & I doubt he will do that again in a hurry.

I have it happen all the time, you see them looking in the mirror as they do it. Here's one for you, I used to work in a motorbike shop and you'd get the odd copper come in. Well one told us a funny story, he was riding the Police BMW type bike and had a fagg butt flicked out the window and hit his visor, the bloke didn't even know he was there, he pulled him over and done him for 3 bald tyres and no tax, plus littering. Expensive fag ay??

Absolutelty. I look before I throw the ciggy out the window and watch the firefly as it bounces off the tarmac.

I once had someone flick a fag at my car and it got stock on top of the air intake for the heater. I had words about that.

Had it yesterday, then you sound horn etc and they just look at you, i may buy a water pistol and fill it with paintstripper, wear it on a belt round my waist like a gun so that when they do i will overtake and spray it on the bonnet, they will think hah he cant get me with that water, until they get home. I wouldn't do it from in front of them though, as they're not unlikely imo to take your number plate details and report you. They would also realise the damage a lot sooner if the paint on their bonnet started dissolving and running towards them.

Of course, you could always just give them the one or two finger salute as you go past, or just shake your head/ make the wanker gesture at them.
