Pepperami finally shakes the slumber out of his head and gets on his bike!
So I decieded to go to Lands End and Lizard point.
A bit of checking the maps and wiring in sat-nav, bag packed and I`m ready to go?

Due to a small misunderstanding, my first destination was going to be Liskerd and a stop for the night before going to LE & Lizard the next day.
My route ended up being : Ipswich A12 --> M25 via the QE2 bridge --> M25 --> A3 via the Hindhead tunnel --> A3 Petersfield --> A272 via Winchester --> A30 --> Salisbury --> Yeovil --> Exeter --> Launceston --> B3254 into Liskerd and a stop for the night.
The hindhead tunnel and the QE2 bridge are a good ride in a funny sort of way.
I stayed in a Premier inn and nothing out of the ordinary there.
Cheapish, clean and tidy.
The further west I went, the colder and more overcast it got Shocked !
DAY TWO

I had a plan of going to the two points and then getting to Yeovil for my Stay overnight.
So Liskerd A390--> Truro --> Three Burrows --> A30 to lands End.
Got to Lands End and spent a little time there having a coffee and seeing the sights

https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/noswimmingtoday_zps4006abc9.jpg

Now on to Lizard!
A30--> to Long Rock --> A394 --> Helston --> A3083 --> Lizard point.
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Finallythere2_zps3661a2d1.jpg
Lizard Point is a lot less commercial than Lands end and I liked that.
I went in the cafe there for my lunch and it was really nice (I had the local fish pie) food at a reasonable price.
Now on to Yeovil for my stop!
--> A3083 --> A394 --> A39 --> A30 to just outside Yeovil.
To say that this stop over was a bit different is an understatement?
When I finally found my digs, I thought I had found out where the Munsters/Adams family have been living Shocked .
The drive to my digs should of warned me Smile
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Hoteldriveway_zps5ac639ba.jpg
and then I found the house Shocked .
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/IMG_1469_zps74e09a57.jpg
I was cold, wet & tired so I was`nt going to worry to much.
That was until they showed me the way to my room.
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Stairstomyroom_zpsaa8ce6ff.jpg
The room was clean and tidy and I could lock the door , so all was well Smile
Ahttps://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Nicehotelwindow_zps34303ea4.jpgAlthough the glazing was`nt at it`s best!

DAY THREE
Todays route was going to be something like Yeovil --> A30 --> Upper Bollington--> A30/A303 --> Basingstoke --> A30 Camberly & Bagshot--> Virginia water--> M25 ---> A12--> home.
I had all day to get home , so more of a bimble that the last couple of days.
No pictures: but Have you ever hit a rabbit at fast mph Shocked
Going along the A30 and it`s one of those moments when you have straight/clear/open road in front of you and no-one is around.
So I going at a fair lick when Mr Bunnie runs in the road and does a silly dance Shocked .
Lots of heavy braking and the stupid thing dives under my wheels Shocked .
There is a loud bang and a wobble and I pull over to the side of the road.
There are bits of rabbit stuck in all sorts of places on the front wheel/forks of my bike .
However there appears to be no damage, just a mess.

So once my heart has climbed back into my chest and I have calmed down, I go on my way.
Never found the rabbit Sad

Along the way I found this on a hill.

https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/HillsideA302_zps1dd90b33.jpg.

I took a little detour just of the A30 and found this Smile

https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Armyhelicopters_zps594e35f2.jpg.

Finally I rode home.
With a sore bum and aching arms, but glad I did it.
A fair few miles for three days on a 250 Smile
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Hyosungfinalmilage_zps1e787c80.jpg

Closer inspection of the bike after the trip revealed that Hard braking on a pot-holed road and rabbits = burst fork seals Shocked

https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/Hyosungoilonwheel_zps3f570d80.jpg.

not the greatest write up but I hope you find something in there to interest you or warn you Smile

I will try to add a few more pictures tomorrow Thumbs Up

Todays EDIT : some of the pictures are not usable/lost so I will post what is left!
Of course I had to take some tourist pictures Smile

While I was there I made a friend Smile
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/asmallfriendatLE_zps4442f740.jpg

Funny old thing!, it`s April and we are still having winter storms Sad
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/roughseaatLE_zps6a042b92.jpg
It`s a long way down and I think it would be a while before they would get to you if you fell down there Shocked
https://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t87/pepperami_photos/steepcliffissteep_zpsa1909886.jpg

A good few pictures of my dinners were deleted Laughing as they took up to much internet band-width Smile .

I did meet a couple of bikers when I got a bit lost just outside Yeovil?.
A fella on an tidy XS650 and an old boy on a BSA Bantam.
They seemed like nice folk, we had a chat about directions and bikes, they sent me on my way and all was good Thumbs Up
If you`re out there lads, thank you Thumbs Up

You found the Badges of Fovant, I was told about them either by Tiggy or Tonka & visited when I was in Wiltshire. There is 8 of them altogether to remember the regiments that stopped there during WW1 and they were carved in 1916! Did you not see any of the chalk horses whilst you were in the area?

The horses are in various locations, some are very easy to locate. They are like the badges, but horses carved into the chalk hills.
You managed to do quite a bit in the few days you had, I am envious as Mr KK & myself do not seem to have more than a day off together lately unless one of us is ill.
Looking forward to the rest of your pictures Smile

I would like to go back and not be under such at tight time-table, however work and stuff are always need doing so I catch moments when I can.
Will return to Cornwall at sometime, possibly when they learn what sunshine is Laughing .
Problem with sunshine is that it brings out all those bloody tourists Smile

What did make me smile was the grumpy old git in his little hut by the signpost that says Lands End.
He would`nt let someone take my picture with my camera by the post unless I paid Sad
Hey ho!

Pepperami the Ambassador for the mighty BCF has now been to all four of the furthest points on the mainland and waved the flag for BCF Thumbs Up
And all done on a crappy Hyosung 250 four stroke.
Them chinese bikes are shit Wink Laughing

Yes I know Hyosungs are not Chinese
