Ahh the Wood Walton roads! I know those corners very well(I live down the road from them) there are 2 that are seriously sharp and covered in loose gravel so be careful.

I didn't know there were that many bikers around here!

That's sharp? I've been nailing it at triple figures and had an actual corner that didn't just bend round, but go like a right angle. Laughing Gotta hate it when you overshoot, and sometimes you panic, and tense up, that's when the bike will just go upright. Shocked Laughing

Yep, chill out and brake early, do all your braking before you tip it into the corner for now.

Just got to man up and Leroy Jenkins it on that bend! don't even think about that brake or the bike will sit upright just learn to fight your instinct.

No one actually realises how crappy that corner is, it is quite literally covered in loose gravel and is a 20mph corner, nasty nasty thing.

Coming the other way can be quite fun just up the road, there's a swooping left hander and the white picket fence is so damn close to your head Very Happy

I never thought I would ever judge someone else's riding on account of me not being all that great. But it's happened.

You're shit mate.

I'm often out that way with work and see the police out there training in cars and on bikes.

Think it's just an excuse for a bit of fun myself, but fair play to them, its what I'd do too!

Keep meaning to take the bike down there.....one day, one day!

I wouldn't find it funny if I'd done that to be honest, I'd be pretty angry with myself.

I did do similar about 10 months ago, still inexperienced in carrying pillions, and had a heavy pillion; ran wide on the bend... nothing coming, but I still feel bad about it.

I have not, not to that degree, I have ran wide but not had a panic stop after standing the bike up. Yet that is.

Looks to me like you turned in too early mate. What was it that spooked you? Gravel on the road? Imo leaning the bike over into the corner more to try and make the turn is generally a better option than running onto the other side of the road potentially into the path of oncoming traffic.

Just panicked...don't think I'll be doing that again. Glad it was filmed LMAO!!

Lol, well you live and learn mate. A lucky escape this time, and it all adds to your experience. If you think about it that way, it's better that it happened and there were no real consequences, so you can observe your actions on reflection and improve your riding skills, rather than on another occasion where you aren't so lucky.

Just went that way, managed 30mph around it by hanging off like a monkey, it's surprising how narrow that bit of road is, it's good you actually managed to stop the bike lol
