Right, about a year ago i lost my provisional licence, well ive just sold my suzuki and whilst looking for my MOT i found my provisional paper and photocard bits.

Thing is i applied for a new one, but that new one i got i lost 2 weeks ago when i lost my wallet, the issue number on that was 08, this old one is 07 can i still use it? there nothing different about them other than the older one has my points written down in pen and stamped where as it was computer printed on my new one i lost?

oSo can i go ahead and book driving test fail number 4 (lol!) with my old licence and use it?

Cheers

If you use an old debit card that's been replaced it rings all sorts of alarm bells with the system thinking you're using a fake/stolen card.

So worst case they could assume you're a fraudster, that could lead to a load of hastle, just give them a ring. 0870 0101372

I had a similar thing. I lost my original licence and got a replacement.

Then the original turned up again.
When I went for my bike test I took my original thinking it wouldnt make any difference.

After the test the examiner told me I'd passed and he just needed a few details (Licence details etc...) I foolishly mentioned the licence was the original etc... and he said - Ah, then this licence is void and I cant pass you !!!!!

Luckilly he took pity and said lets just forget you told me that. !

But check first or you could find yourself in a fix

On my CBT course a guy got sent home because he'd lost his licence and found his old one that had been through the wash. Apart from anything else it was illegible and in 4 separate pieces. Laughing

The old licence is now cancelled and null and void. Any attempt to use it could land you in serious bother. I wouldn't even attempt it in this day and age when everybody is so keen on security against fraud, terrorists, immigration, cloning, etc. Rolling Eyes

Either start searching for the new one, or it's going to cost you another £19 for a replacement. Sad
