"Started off the day by messing around and racing eachother."

Pretty much sums up why you would have had 2 near misses in 6 months.

Not relevant from a SMIDSY point of view but from an insurance point of view if you could prove you were indicating to travel round the roundabout and that twat pulled out on you then if would be a case closer.

(Not that any twonk bothers to indicate on roundabouts anymore ....) Rolling Eyes

Yep.

If you look at the right of the speedo you will (barely) see the indicator flashing.

Bit fast really. You're going to get near misses if you ride quick like that. If he was a decent driver he'd have seen you but you didn't give him that much time to see you before he began to pull out.

Do you have at least a bit of instinct of self-preservation, you saw the driver didn't give a damn and you still continued in your lane.

Do you want to be alive or right? Rolling Eyes

I mean, I saw that comming right away and I haven't even been there Thumbs Up

EDIT: Do NOT encourage him, he's gonna think he's right, get cocky and then possibly dead/injured in a quite similar situation.

Not really, the camera makes everything look twice as fast.

You knew you was riding too quick for the conditions, which is why the attitude of riding immediately after the incident was more relaxed and you changed lanes less aggressively.

Before that all riding was aggressive, heavy handed and will always land you in trouble.

Look after yourself instead of expecting strangers to do it for you.

I originally thought the driver was going to stay in that lane, but as soon as I saw he was going to enter my lane I used the horn.

I had to stay in my lane, I couldn't brake otherwise I would have hit the side of his car.

If you had braked earlier you'd have ended up behind him....

Why would the driver go into the left lane immediately from the right lane of the entry? I'd have guessed he was going straight into the outside lane to turn right on the island.

As for the 2nd point, you were riding too fast if you couldn't stop. You should be able to stop in the distance that you can see is clear and safe. If you are unable to stop (when you had plenty of time) then you are too quick for either the conditions, or your abilities.

That's how I always ride (except for this one instance)

The camera shows everyting twice as far away, in the footage it looked like I had loads of time; but if I braked the bike would have straightened up and I would have hit his side or rear.

How long do you ride? Because this attitude is going to get you killed one day, when you're gonna be old enough to get something swifter Thumbs Up

Keep it safe mate, just slow down a bit in front of a intersection or a roundabout to give drivers around you enough time to see you. It's not worth it to be right every time. What's gonna happen next, you're gonna get a 1000cc sports bike run there three times faster and then what? Now you even can't use your brakes properly and you're barely moving, what are you gonna do then, moving 3x faster? Rolling Eyes

I've only been riding on the road two years and only have 2 years NCB, so not that long. But I don't know what this attitude thing is about, is it the way I'm replying or behaving in the video?

Car driver is a fool. That said you should ride to account for the foolishness of others.
