So this is pretty fucking bad really.

I fucked a 7-years-in-the-past ex last night. She used to be 'ok' so despite bringing and using a condom for the first few minutes, I got rid of it mid-way through and did it unprotected last night, and then unprotected again in the morning.

And then, in the morning, she drops the bombshell that
a) she lived homeless for 6 months in the town, she's only just sorted herself out
b) she was doing drugs
c) she hasn't had an STI check in ages

I could have caught fucking anything off it, my own retarded fault I know but jesus. Homelessness + Pretty girl + Drugs = AIDS. I googled it and turns out if you've fucked someone that might have AIDS, there's drugs you can take to stop becoming infected.

I went to Southend GUM clinic first and they said there was noone there to speak to, to come back on Tuesday... well that's too late by then as I'll have caught the bad aids. They said there was nothing they could do and no treatments even though they list "PEP/SE" on their website as a service they provide. Then I went to some sex clinic place in Southend, Kingsley-Ward Centre, the receptionist didn't really want to let me speak to anyone, because "sex infections don't show up for a few weeks so there's no point", but I kinda insisted, then the doctor woman there said point blank to me that there were NO treatments available that could stop me getting AIDS after sleeping with someone that has AIDS... which is point blank bullshit.

What should I do? Keep on going round places until I can get seen by someone that at least actually acknowledges the existence of treatment?

Feels like the aids clock is ticking.
I have had trouble getting people to acknowledge the seriousness of this issue, I expect the same will be true here, but if anyone knows a place in the Essex area I can go, please say.

The HIV drugs must be taken almost immediately after you think you may have been with someone who is infected. Within 48 hours I think.. You'd have to take them for a month and they completely wreck you whilst you're on them.

Even if she does have the virus, it's not guaranteed that you'd catch it, there are instant HIV test you can take, but only after about 6 week of possible exposure.

Where is your source for treatment information?

"
Some commonly considered pharmaceutical interventions for the prevention of HIV include the use of the following:

microbicides for sexually transmitted diseases
pre-exposure prophylaxis
post-exposure prophylaxis
HIV vaccines
circumcision (see also Circumcision and HIV)[1]
antiretroviral drugs to reduce viral load in the infected, and
condoms

Of these, the only universally medically proven method for preventing the spread of HIV during sexual intercourse is the correct use of condoms

It was only 10pm last night and 8am this morning

I'm within the time if I can find someone to help me!

They mentioned the 6-week HIV tests but to be honest I want to not get AIDS, not find out in 6 weeks time that I've got it Sad

NHS: Emergency HIV drugs

If you think you have been exposed to the virus within the last 72 hours (three days), anti-HIV medication may stop you becoming infected.

You might need to go to a walk in centre where they deal with high risk HIV cases frequently, I.e. Soho in London.

Open your wallet and go to a private clinic? There are a number of them on Harley Street in London open 24/7 but cost £100 for 15 minute consult and £100 for an early test and £100 for a antibody test. Get results in 4-12 hours..

Of course these might not be accurate due to the incubation period of 3ish months.

If you think it is so serious why not go anyway and ask?

Hand over enough money and I'm sure you can get them to write a script to get some meds.

Chances are, she wouldn't know even if she did.

Best of luck, Cov, sure you'll be okay. About 4 years ago I was a very stupid guy and put my penis into a veritable aids infested pit of fire, convinced myself that I'd caught something and I was going to die a horrible AIDS infested death. Never got anything in the end, so no worries! And if I can shag a smack head prossie from Leith docks raw dog and not get something...

Too soon?

To be completely honest, I'm genuinely surprised that Essex doesn't have any walk-in centres that can cope with this sort of thing; I'd imagine that scares are rife, given that the county hosts such places as Romford, Dagenham and Basildon.

WHY?!

You might has well have just not bothered in the first place.

Sure she was bang out of order for not being honest in the first place but it's your fucking dick... You gotta look after it.
If you're gonna stick it in holes that you don't know are clean then why would you even consider it?

I'd want the queen to assure me she's clean before I go and royally ruin her.

Go to a clinic/ring up an advice hotline.

If the blood wasn't yours then I wouldn't worry about it too much, you'll make yourself ill.

There's only a minuscule chance of catching HIV whilst "giving", compared to "receiving", so get the tests done, sure, but try and take the occasional breath in the meantime.

Thumbs Up

I know, it was stupid, and my fault. It felt like old times is I think why I did it, when we first got together we were both young, I'm sure she only had 1 previous partner, back then, there was no real risk of me catching anything off her. I failed to consider that in 7 years ( Rolling Eyes ) things can change. I wouldn't have dropped the condom with a stranger.

Been doing non-stop reading.

I've read the transmission risk from fem->male is actually pretty low, that is to say even if we know she's got it, the chances are from 2 fucks, I would not get it. And we don't know for a fact she's got it. She could have even slept with an HIV'er and not got it.

I've realised the chances are in my favour, quite significantly so
I probably don't have it
And the drugs have serious side effects
But there is a small chance I do and the drugs could save my life

It's a difficult decision

I thought the SOHO walk in center was open till 8, but it's not, that's the non-sexual walk in center (Frith St), the SOHO GUM is closed now and tomorrow, so I think the decision has been made for me, but I feel better about it.

On Monday I may very well take her to a clinic and get her tested, she needs to be, and we're mates now so that's a small thing I can do to look out for her, but I will also find out then if she has it, if she's clean then I can probably totally stop worrying.
If she's not, then... I played things bad Crying or Very sad

I have played russian roulette basically, I will let you know if I get shot! Confused

P.s. yes, the blood was definitely hers, I have checked my genitals and there is no damage

I know you've calmed your worries a bit with some favourable information but are realistically going to be content until you know for sure?

If it were me i'd be banging on the doors of doctors houses waving my knob at anybody who might be able to tell me...

But then that's just me really... I'll wave my willy at anyone who'll give it a second glance Embarassed Poor little fella.
