Had to switch my front wheel. Bought an FZR400 front following advice.

The brakes fit perfectly, but the holes are too small for my spindle to fit through. Can I simply change the bearings, or do I have to send this back?

Left is the 400 wheel, right the 600.

Fit a new spindle?

If that won't work with your fork legs then you could try sourcing bearings by careful measurement of inside and outside diameters.

If the wheels are the same then you should be able to use FZR600 bearings in the 400 wheel. Have a look at the part number stamped on the wheel, it should be the same.

Hmm... Not sure. They might still be the same... I've no idea. Could you measure the outside diameter of the bearings to see if they will fit in the other wheel?

Ill do that now, although I'm wary about the inside tunnel-bit being the same diameter as the current inner-bearing diameter. Apart from the bearings they are exactly the same.

Phew, it is just the bearings. The inner shaft can be moved so I presume I can just swap those.

Old front had a slight buckle Sick .

Bearing wise, I need 2x 6201's, will any do? I noticed they all have slightly different letters after the number, and I can't find a match for the current ones I have. /dumb mode

Huzzah, I meant 6203. Crisis averted. Laughing

If you mean the spacer, then yes you'll need to swap those over.

the letters that follow the bearing number tell you what type of seals the bearing has:
commonly rs for rubber shield, 2rs for two rubber shields, z for metal shield etc etc.
