 |
|
Afternoon All,
Does anyone know what can cause "hot" starting problems on an SV 1000.
Bike will start fine from cold, however once up to temperature and stopped. Petrol station etc. will not start again. Will crank until battery is flat however will not fire.
Checked spark plugs. Oil is up to level.
Is there a sensor that could have gone and if so which one?
Thanks

Going on from this.
Valve clearences have been checked and were just below the minimum. This has been sorted and all are now within spec .
However it will still happen on occasions where she will crank and not fire. .
Tried dealer mode and no codes.
Any guidence appreciated

yes it will.
it will also start if you crank it long enough to get the FI light to flash and then ignition off and on.
Will have a look at the fuel filter first as this is easier .
Thanks
