So now if I look out of my kitchen window all I can see is this.
Gutted I can't ride it until I get my proof of no claims - hopefully no more than a couple of weeks.
Sorry for the gash photos - dinner was getting cold!

Why a couple of weeks for your proof of no claims? All I did was ring my insurer and get them to email it to me in pdf format!

My 12 months isn't actually until the 31st, so I'm not expecting my proof of no claims until very close to then.

If you have your policy No. and you existing broker's/insurer's tel No. your 'other' insurer will ring for proof.

Bennetts just did that for me as my last brokers are mentally retarded/criminally insane and wouldn't issue proof of NCD. (MCE BTW proper shower of phannies)

NCD is normally transferable between companies. If not recognised by any insurer/broker then move your business to someone who wants it.

The qualifying period is twelve months from when the policy started until it expires. The full premium, minus any other bonus/deals must have been paid (and of course no claims made).

Got some good news earlier

Quote:
Dear Turkish,,

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that you are entitled to a period of 14 days overlap between setting up a new policy and using the No Claims Discount from the previous policy.

So if your other policy is due to expire on the 31/05/2013, the earliest date you could insure the vehicle would be on the 18/05/2013.

If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely,

James Trigg Customer Services

So not too long a wait after all.

So in between trying to stop the CBR explode before I sell it, I've given the ZX a service, new oil, filters, coolant, plugs, carb balance. I also fitted the restrictors.

Popped down to Chris Mullins in Gloucester and had a pilot road 3 fitted on the rear for £140. Great service as always. /freeplug

Anyways I rode it for the first time today! WHAT A MACHINE! Pulls like a train in every gear, does 0-70 (plus Laughing) like it's nothing. I'm definitely going to need to learn some discipline before taking the restrictors out.

So easy to ride, was a bit wobbly at first because I was white-knuckling like a total amateur. Chilled out after the first few minutes though.

Went to fill it up, inside the kiosk - Me "its that one at the back, number 4 I think?". Her "Yeah that's 4, nineteen seventy please". Me " Err, are you sure?...". I've been getting spoilt with £12 fuel ups for too long!
