Ok I already have some ideas about where I`m going on my bikes this year.
However it`s always nice to have a few other ideas, just in case?
It`s also nice to know where other people think is a good trip out
So mighty BCF , if you were going to go somewhere in blighty this summer , Where would that be?
Day trips or longer tours, whatever?

What do you want from the trip? is it places to visit or good roads to ride? I would recommend North Wales (yes, I'm biased ) I just don't see how you could beat the roads and scenery up this end. ____________________ 2012 KTM EXC 250

Last August we went to Suffolk for the weekend Went to Southwold, Lowestoft & Thorpeness on the Saturday, went to Ace Cafe & cambridge on the Sunday and returned home on the Monday.
However, depending on how far you want to travel, up along the East coast around Berwick upon Tweed is enjoyable, you can visit Holy Island, or near Seahouses you can get a boat to take you to see the puffins on Farne Islands (there is a good chippy near the jetty where all the local bikers hang out) or visit Bamburgh Castle.
The Lake District, take a ride up Hardknott & Wrynose passes to Eskdale & follow the roads around to end up in Broughton in Furness & grab a brew & a butty at the cafe in the square.
A weekend in Wiltshire, visit Stonehenge, see the badges at Fovant, take a trip to Gold Hill where the Hovis advert was filmed back in 1973.
I can ramble on for hours about places to visit in the Uk, but why not just look on a map, get an idea of where you would like to go and then Google to see what is in the vicinity? |
