I bought replacement bearings for my FZR400 front wheel, hoping it would be as simple as popping them out then sticking in the new FZR600 ones in. No dice. Apparently they don't fit.

I would rather not fork out again for another wheel, but I'm a bit lost. Can anyone with experience shed some light? Would a local bearing company have the correct sizes, or possibly make them? Any idea on cost? Or should I admit defeat and find another front wheel?

It does just seem to be the bearing thats different between the 2 wheels. The FZR4 has a slightly smaller internal diameter than the fzr6. Bawwwwww.

I would contact the seller in regards to the bearing and ask them to verify that they did send you the correct part no.'d replacement for your bike, but it does happen that things can be miss cataloged by their supplier due to human error!

So, look up the parts fiche for the bike and verify it or there may have been part no. change just because of this reason possibly?

Here's a good site for looking up part no eoms for your bike;

Cheers but we're talking about 2 different bikes, the parts themselves are fine. I'm heading to a local bearing company to see if they can help. Thumbs Up

edit; all sorted!
