Engine oil on tires?

Hi folks,

During a bit of a messy oilchange I got loads of oil on the garage floor, and some on my front tire.

Ive wiped it off with kitchen roll but there is still some one (in the grooves and a bit on the surface).

What can I do about this? Is it really needed to buy new tires?

Don't worry too much - new tyres are not needed
Like Billy said, you can clean it off with washing up liquid and water. Just take it easy when you ride it next.
However, if you leave it on there for a while (a few days), it will actually become more sticky and give a little bit more grip - however I wouldn't recomend this

Bah front tyre, a burnout won't fix the problem. Humbug.

Hot/ warm water, washing up liquid and a scrubbing brush. Job done.

Take a steady ride to a local service station or garage and get the steam cleaner/jet wash on it!

I'd consider cleaning the oil on your tyre off before going for a ride, unless you fancy having to push it home.

Last time i did this i rubbed a few fist fulls of sand inthe the tire. I went out for a ride on some long straight roads. the tire spinning so fast chucked much of the oil and all of the sand off. within a day or so the tire was completly normal.

So long as you don't go out riding like a look you'll be allright.

When I went to stockly park with wave my 2stroke tank cap went Awol and pissed 2stroke all over my back tyre, still tryed to get my knee down. I hate the feeling when it starts to slide, I panic too much. Don't think i'd be much good at supermoto.

Yeah, washing up liquid should do the trick as it *disperses grease.
Maybe even smooth swarfega mixed with hot water.

GUNK if you have some (or something similar) if you havnt then washing up liquid and water as mentioned. Id make bloody sure I got all of it off especially as it is the front tyre.
