Hi all,

I have had my bike for a year now and my skills at controlling and riding bikes have boosted.
I can now try to control my balance with a very little speed almost same as turtle walking etc for few sec and other silly stuff that I sort of see it as skill improvement.
Now the next step is to get a big bike which I have asked for people opinion on this forum before however after reconsidering my situation, I think it is best to wait another year.
Here is my situation,
I have purchased a brand new bike in 2012 and has three years warranty. My license is A restricted until april 2014
So I am thinking if I get a new bike I will either have to pass the full license (DAS) or restrict it which defeats the whole point of having a bigger bike. Also my bike has few years of warranty which I may use

Now I am thinking of doing some sort of training courses which they let you ride bigger bike such as 500 or bigger on track so you can do knee down etc , are there any courses out there which doesn’t cost arm and a leg and is reasonable ? something that does help me boost my skills on a bigger bike provided by the school

Many thanks

Just get a bigger bike and restrict it, will still be quicker than what you are on at the moment (I presume a 125?) and will teach you to control a heavier bike.

Don't bother with a wheelie school, won't teach you anything you can't learn with a bit of research and some practise on a quiet road.

thanks,
i guess change of plan as no school accepts me without fully unrestricted license.

what do you think about california bike school which is meant to train you for cornering techniques ( expensive though £400) for full day

the main schools that pop into mind are chris walker race school and ron haslam but im not sure if they allow restricted licence holders or not.

i know they allow acu licence holders without a full road licence but dont know about restricted. probably worth a look. would be a good introduction for you.
