Hi all

If anyone is on a tour of the northcoast of scotland(thurso/bettyhill/tongue etc

The weavers cafe & BnB in (tongue) has just completed its new cafe! they welcome any cars/bikes coaches etc etc

Its a great construction and looks amazing, run by a very friendly couple(john & anna) who will make you feel very welcome !, its a great place to pull over for a well earned restbite and some great food and drink!.

Its also a nice place to take in the view of the kyle of tongue etc (whilst sitting on the new patio area outback.)

I thought id mention it guys ,as these two are my good friends and they cater to lots of bikers hitting the north tourist route.

plus i helped with the destruction and build of the new cafe:)Smile

take it easy guys and ride carefully.. Thumbs Up Very Happy

Strangely enough we were planning on heading up to Thurso today and round the North and West coast to Fort William tomorrow. Weather forecast was crap so we decided to put it off for a couple of weeks. Will definitely check it out when we get around to doing it.

We did the same route last year and the weather was incredible, arrived in Fort William at 6 pm and temperature was 30 degrees. Wink

The weather forecast is rain for the 6/7 days

Use this site it is pretty accurate forecasting by them and it will give you up to the next 10 days and hourly over 24hrs.

Just the heads up it is really really crappy weather in western Scotland today with really cold wind & rain driven driven by a strong gusts of wind!!!

So either wrap up or delay trip because it is supposed to remain this way for several days it seems before it possibly starts to break for warmer weather? - This is when a car comes in handy or going by bus rather than being blown off or soaked through!

It was one of those days yestarday..

The rain soaked everything and when the sun did come out you dropped your guard and ventured out to get something done(like trying to mow the lawn even though the grass was wet Rolling Eyes

minutes later.......

it rained and even when its sunny its probably raining.. Laughing

Barmy British weather especially with the Spring is extremely late this year and so I guess the Winter is going to be harsh again - darn!

Cheers for that Titan.
I'm up there all the time, my girlfriend is from Lybster and I have friends in Wick and Thurso. I'll visit the cafe next time I'm up and give it plenty exposure on my blog.

Cheers

mike.
