Has anyone crashed/dropped their bike during a test?

When I passed my bike test I skidded a little during the emergency stop although luckily managed to control it.

The examiner reckoned if it had been wet I'd have come off.

But has anyone had the misfortune to end up on the tarmac during their test?

No, but I SERIOUSLY thought it would happen, as it was bucketing it down with rain...and that very morning I crashed it on the way to work !!

Damage galore (but nothing major), so luckily I could still continue with the test.

It made me more nervous though..and I was sure I'd fail.

I am sure it has happened to someone though.

I wonder if it is an automatic fail ? Wink

On my first test I fell off doing the u-turn and the examiner had to help me lift the bike back up

The worst part was pushing the thing back to the CBT centre.

Never crashed, but managed to lose the examinar at a roundabout. Laughing

Guess I was just to quick for the old timer.
After a few minutes of riding around looking for him we met up and carried on. Still passed. Thumbs Up

Did perfect U-turns before and during my tests, only dropped the SR125 I was learning on once a few days before when I was praticing.

Only problem is I can't do U-Turns properly now Embarassed

I crashed on my CBT. Went back the next day to do the bit I missed.
By the way Compulsory Basic Training. You don't pass or fail, you are issued with the certificate when you have covered everything whether you are crap or not.

No, you get issued the certificate once you are up to the required standard, if you're not up to standard (a nicer way of saying crap Razz

) then you don't get issued it.

Nope, but on my CBT there was a girl who managed to pull off a no-feet rolling burnout (not very smoothly) and fall off her scooter. Laughing

Well that is what it looked like, tyre screeching and smoking her legs flailing about and down she went after a good 3 metres getting faster/wobblier.
And on a test ride today my mum dropped the Sprint she was trying out. Laughing

Nope, but the bloke infront of me on my CBT did in quite spectacular style, but he was a cocky git who reckoned he could do everything better than everyone else.

my mate done his test on tuesday 22nd and on the way to the test centre he crashed his bike at around 50mph and thought nothing of it done his test and failed but when he got home he noticed his arm was hurting went to the hospital and they said he had a fractured wrist Shocked

and plasterd it up so he done his test with a fractured wrist 37 hours after the plaster was put on he came round mine and nicked my dremmel Shocked

Your mate sounds like he doesn't have two brain cells to rub together, carrying on and doing his test with the arm broke is understandable as just because it's broken doesn't means it's not able to be moved, but cutting the plaster cast off three days after it's been put on is just plain stupid. He could well have fame in later life though, be it from the Darwin awards though. Thinking

Same colour as my cast! Although mine will be staying on. I took a back slab off my leg once because it hurt, because it broke and was putting weight on my broken foot. The doctor agreed it was the right thing to do in my case. But I have two very f*cked up toes that hover and won't touch the floor!

I managed to throw the riding schools CG125 down the road on my CBT Embarassed

, hit a wet manhole cover going round a corner. Still got my CBT though Laughing

as I had dealt with the incident in the correct manner ie picked the bike up(safely), swore very loudly, checked bike over and rode it back to the centre.

All the time telling the whole world what a bunch of Fc*king, 4r5ehole, ussless b45t4rds the local council were for putting a smooth manhole cover in such a stupid 5odding place. Apparently the instructor could hear me as he followed on his bike back to the centre, and he regularly had pupils come off at the same place.

I made a great impressions within 10 minutes of starting my cbt. The instructor told me to take the bike off of its stand, and wheel it over to the little car park where i was going to be riding the thing. I was like "OK, be there in a second." He walks ahead, leaving me on my own, so i lean the bike away from me ( Doh!

), kick the stand out, didn't realise the bike was that heavy, struggled to keep it upright, lost my grip and it went crashing to the floor! When the instructor came back over after hearing the crash, he yelled at me to pick it up, and that only an idiot wouldn't know that your not supposed to lean a bike away from you when you take it of the stand (considering i'd never ridden before he could have told me that?) Embarassed

Then to top it all off i was too much of a girly weakling to pick the bike up on my own Crying or Very sad

My instructor was not impressed to say the least Confused

Never binned on a test, did drop the 5oo doing a practice U-turn.. I felt a plank.

On my test I did lock the back wheel, but the examiner was partially deaf, so didnt hear the screech, oh and it was a controlled stop still. Smile

My most spectacular 'offs' tend to be in full view of the public on busy roads! lol
