What is this shit about "We can't do a puncture if the wheel is on the bike".

Fuck off clearly these cunts have more than enough money turning business away... Anyone know a decent tyre place open on a saturday?

The tyre has to be removed from the wheel to effect a decent repair. If they weren't willing to remove the wheel for you (for a fee of course) then perhaps they ARE too busy and don't need the extra monies.

Go to Asda and purchase a can of Holts Tyre Weld for £4/5 or at a Tesco Superstore to seal & re-inflate it for you in one go, and then you can take your time in finding a reasonably priced bike mechanic/tyre shop over the next few months until the tyre's tread wears down till it needs to be replaced or earlier because it works extremely well indeed.
