It was a dubious move intentional or not. I don't think he should be punished for it but I don't see a problem with a warning.
I think the only reason Lorenzo hasn't protested about the whole thing is to help protect his PR. He would have seen how the fans and media reacted to Stoner's moaning. Lorenzo also made a complaint about Simoncelli's riding and was a made to look a fool, with the whole " I will be arrested" thing. In hindsight he couldn't have been more right!
The fans want exciting racing and are always going to support the guy making the dangerous moves. The reason the racing is dull is because of the stupid rules the organisers dream up not because of the riders.
