hi all,

thanks to people help from this forum , i got my sv650 .

now i want to buy a good chain and disc lock ( my current 125 bike has a chain and disc lock from ebay costing 30 alltogther).

i have heared that 16mm is a good one that doesn't break easily and is anti theft

can anyone suggest what is the suggested chain and pad lock to buy

i rather it is cheap but my bike is more important thus willing to spend extra if required.i was thinking of around £100 max but again can go up higher if people suggest

either the model or if possible link from ebay will be much appreciated

many thanks

Almax or Pragmasis. Don't buy anything else really, even if it's 'Sold Secure' etc.

Have a look at the Wall of Shame

Don't skimp on the lock either and make sure you chain it to something solid.

i was thinking of almax iv which is £90 for 1 meter and apparently untouchable etc never has been cropped

surely can you not cut through it with angle grinder in 1 min or so ?

anyway as it seems the best one in the market will get it
do they normally come with padlock ?
also couldn't find disc lock from almax so gonna look at Pragmasis for disc lock

thanks very much

Almax or Pragmasis for the chain and padlock. Motrax Vishas is a decent disc lock, attacked by Zanx and he recommends it. Thumbs Up

i got my almex chain and here is how i did the lock.

i couldn't fit both hooks into the paddlock hock so had to take one chain link through the other and then put the lock on

is that how it is done ?

two hooks are two big for the paddlock
