Most people fantasise about fucking off from the UK and living off the land, working for randomers barely surviving kinda thing.

Personally I think that sounds like crap but if one was to find a job somewhere, where would that place be ideally?

Consider current political/economic activity and general population stability and quality of living.

It does appeal, if I didn't have a family I would be an off grid pikey or 'full timer' - use a parents address for necessary items like driving license and whatnot then live in an american 5th wheeler (the ones with a space for a bike) & tow with a pickup.

I've always liked the idea of doing some kind of extended overland traveling, maybe cycling or walking around the world. Something with an end goal and a purpose
But the idea of just moving to some remote location and existing doesn't really appeal.

Ski instructor in the winter and SCUBA in the summer somewhere tropical would be a good lifestyle when young and single, but would make little money to put by for when you get a bit older and want to settle down and even less for retirement.

Happy with what I do now, though it might be nice to have the courage to upsticks with the family and go to Australia instead (for a better quality of life). But the grass is always greener and all that.

money isn't an issue if you are serious about it
if you plan ahead and are prepared to camp or even live rough /
squat (did for a bit in holland)
find a job washing dishes in a restaurant or other menial job for a week or two till you find a better job and build from there

worst case scenario is walk into any EU police station and admit to vagrancy and they will deport you to the Uk via train & ferry to Dover

though I'd avoid the southern EU as there economy is in the shit and even menial jobs are hard to get
just now Canada or the Far East are the only places I'd consider moving to
