Nintendo 3DS and Acekards etc.........

Hello Geekers,

Right, I have a friend that has a Acekard for a DS Lite, works wonderfully.

They are now looking to get a 3DS and again, a Acekard. Now from what I can gather, you cannot play backup 3DS games on it, only DSi games - am I correct?

Only I can see 3DS games available for download so this does not compute.

Any basic english in what you can play on a Acekard for a 3DS?

There was a scare when it released as nintendo basically put out a statement saying that they were entitled to brick the 3ds if a flash cartridge was used - but this actually hasn't happened to my knowledge.

Sorry actually know more than that :/

Correct. While Roms exist for 3DS games, the software on the 3DS has not been hacked to play 3DS roms.

The only reason these card work in the 3DS at all is because Nintendo kept backwords compatability to play older DS games on the 3DS. Essentially the 3DS is in DS mode.

Also, current hardware in the aceKard and supercard 2 would not be poweful enough to run 3DS games. They wold likely need a new chip.

Also, never ever connect to the internet with a card in. If they detect it, they can and will brick your DS/DSi/3DS.
