Hey,

Bike: Every 1K miles
Car: Every 5K miles

Very anal about maintenance. I even have a spreadsheet with intervals for air filter, valves etc for both car and bike.

Cheers,
Shaun R.

Every 3k - 5k

If I changed it every 1k id spend more time with a oil filter in my hand than riding the thing! And spend more on oil than petrol for it too!

2.5-3k or thereabouts. My commute halved recently so might start doing it every 6 or 8 months.

If your read the manuals they usually suggest about 4k intervals doing the filter at every second interval along with the oil. So that is what I do.

Car used to be 6 month/6k miles but now I rarely use it I changed it to yearly (I do about 2k miles a year now). I use it more over summer so try and change it spring time.

Bike I do yearly, again I only do 2-3k a year.

On the 125 I used to do it every 1k or so, on the 600 I have changed the oil at 4k. Dealer services every 8k but my oil looked nasty at 4k.

On a 125, change the oil alone every 1k - 1.5k, both filters every 2k - 3k.

Question on your Busa. K&N oil filter and stock air filter for me it costs maybe £5 total. How much are your Busa's filters for a full replace?

I just did mine after six months and just over 2k miles at a cost of around £40 for the oil + filter.
I'll probably stick to this schedule.

Thanks for reminding me. I'm gonna get my service done this bank holiday weekend. Needs new filter and oil but Woosters in Leeds have got a 4L semi synth oil and filter for 25 quid. Yes please. Might buy two in case he stops selling them

Every 8,000 miles. I used to do it every 5,000 but oil just got stupidly expensive, especially as I now have a sump with 4 litres in it instead of 2.5 litres on my previous bike.

On the fazer, when I remember or when I have some spare cash, used to be about twice a year, so about every 12-15000 miles, or more likely every change of chain/sprockets.

Car, just bought a little car, so not serviced it yet.
