Not without a lot of work. Ask again on www.hondahornet.co.uk or do the sensible thing and just get a 900 Hornet instead. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

A Fireblade with Renthal bars on would be the best option.
Better suspension, better chassis. 900 Hornet is slow and the engine feels nothing like a Fireblade lump. ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

If its an old shape hornet it was a detuned CBR600 F3 motor used from memory.
900 motors sprockets wont line up & needs mods to the mounts & everything else. Too much like hard work. For not much gain
Id go for a good used F3 motor & opt for a Dynojet kit w/feckin huge pod filters & a good pipe/header set. Should have the desired effect ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

When you get an insurance quote, to be legit, you'd have to declare it as "modified". When asked for a description of the modification you'd have to inform that a 900cc engine is fitted.
Some insurers will give quotes for modified bikes like Bikesure etc. but due to the limited number of insurers who will quote for modified bikes, it is harder to get a good deal.
For example, comparison sites like mcncompare, gocompare etc. won't quote for modified bikes as its hard to accurately quote for an unknown quantity.
Therefore to get a quote on a modified bike, is back to the old fashioned method of ringing up the insurers one by one, going through details, declaring mods and trying to get the best price.
I've been down this path before - its painful. ____________________ 1988 Kawasaki KMX 200
