Turn around bright eyes Wink

Allegations are allegations, doesn't mean they are true until convicted, and then the justice is done.
I'd be having chats with your daughter if I were you

but she used to come home and tell us about a boy called henry who did things in the garden (show his willy and stuff)

my missus asked once and there was no henry at the nursery

Been through similar stuff myself so know where you're coming from.

It's mind-bending the amount of frustration that you have to hold in - but you do have to hold it in. Allegations are just that and kangaroo courts are thankfully, a thing of the past in this country. Don't forget that these days, it not unusual for women to be involved too.

Talk to your kid, be there for them as a supportive parent. Try not to ask any leading questions but if something crops up that you think is related, get onto the authorities ASAP.

Try and remain calm. If any wrong doing has gone on, then justice will be done. If you take matters into your own hands, it's more than likely that you'll end up in deeper shit than the guilty ones. If anyone is guilty, then let the other inmates do the work for you Wink

gently probe the "henry" issue like asking about his age
or was she alone when he was there
very tricky situation only real advice I can give as a parent is tread carefully

and I do hope your kid has not been exposed to anything worse than 4 y.o. henry flashing his tager at playtime
even at that I'd expect some adult supervision of children at all time
my 4 year old got into trouble for peeing behind a tree in the playgroup garden
my fault as I taught him to do that when we were out in the countryside camping or fishing
I was rather red faced when the playgroup leader told me what had happened

Some serious advice.
If your daughter has been involved in any way you need to contact the police. I know that you will be concerned and want to talk it over with her but the more you talk the less viable her evidence will be. It is hard when you love your child to let them go into such a clinical situation but you would do this if they were ill and you had to take her to hospital. It is the right thing to do for her and the other kids.

I am unsure why you are even asking what to do ... its pretty obvious !!!
(although I do undertsand that you may be in a mild 'panic' , and so reaching out for any advice you can, without thinking it through yourself).

1) Consult a professional org.. such as childline or the like .. and ask them for advice on how to 'question' your daughter.
You are NOT trained in this stuff.. and the last thing you want to do is worry her or ask in the wrong way etc.

2) If nothing comes from the chat .. then dont worry and leave the police to do their thing.

3) If something does worry you from the chat ... then call police immediately and reconsult child line.

4) Let the police do their thing.

5) Hope true justice is done .. if not then move to 6.

6) Visit the prison they are in, and pay someone in there to hook the pervs eyes out with a heated spoon.

You may want to ignore step 6.

This. Do not, under any circumstances, question your daughter yourself. Memories at that age can be very fragile and 'fluid'. If you think she has experience d something relevant then you need to get in touch with the leading detective.

I spotted this article on BBC News, might be of interest to the OP.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-22666060

It says the police are trying to make contact with all parents.

I nearly got molested on a school trip once, I was late so had to get changed on my own with some bloke chaperoning, he told me I needed to have a shower so I did in my swimming trunks then tried to get me to have it naked because 'I wont be able to clean myself' with the trunks on, I refused as I was self conscious, only realised many years later he was probably trying to diddle me Shocked

I was diddled when I was eight, by the caravan-park pervo. He'd tuck your t-shirt in for you and finger your tackle (such as it was at that age). Loads of us had it done. FREE! Laughing

Unless your kid's been actually buggered or raped I can see no reason at all why you'd want them taken into a scary room with some fuckwit pig and traumatised by The Process. Kids pick up on the ambient temperature and really do need it all to be done by mum or dad in a laughy stylee. If an offence has been commited you get your kid to tell it to a tape and if that's not good enough for old bill, old bill can do one.

I don't get it.

Your daughter is happy and smiley and doesn't seem to think anything is wrong.

She's told you about another kid doing something completely normal and natural.

Where is the worry?

The name thing is probably just that she's forgotten or he was messing about. I gave fake names loads when I was a little one, it used to confuse people no end. Hilarious.

I've used that line on a 13 year old before......

On a army cadet camp and me and my mates were all showering post-exercise, when we spotted some of the younger kids getting into the showers with swimming trunks on. Cue tirade of abuse from us.... "what's the matter mate, you gay or something?", "how the fuck are you going to get your crusty knob clean in those trunks, have a proper wash, you've just spent two days out in the field " etc etc

We also found out how many people can fit into one showering cubicle: 14 if liberally lubed up with shampoo, but that's a tale for another time.

I recommend watching the dutch film "The Hunt". Exactly the same, or extremely similar, plot as your situation. Subtitled on 1channel.ch if you have an evening spare Smile

As the first respondent said, allegations are somewhat meaningless until proven. (Note I did not say wholly meaningless!)

As for this Henry, it's quite possible she mistook his name, or it's a new boy, or any number of things. I used to get my willy out a lot when I was that age because I thought it was a funny, like a weird worm monster or something, kids do stuff like that because they don't give a shit. Sometimes they might even lie, sometimes their malleable little minds might be persuaded to say things that aren't true (obviously this can go both ways). The film I mentioned explains this better than I can. Obviously, though, I'm not saying ignore the allegations completely, I'm just saying don't jump to conclusions and accusations.

Allegations can come out of nowhere. I once was accused because some kid (14/15) heard me tell a joke. He followed me through the whole town on my way home and called the police on me, who came up to me and told me they had heard I was a rapist. Managed to convince them it was bullshit and the kid had heard a joke (that wasn't even remotely rapey).

Don't cause someone trouble when you have nothing against them, evidence especially.
