I have the u-trun motion control model with adjustable height.
I want to do a service on them and replace the oils and seals. Ive not dont a service on forks before so wanted to check if there was anything worth knowing before I do?

Im more than capable of doing the work but if there any advice then that will be helpful. I dont think these have ever been done before so dont know if I will need new bushes or anything but I wasnt going to order them (unless theyre cheap) in which case I might as well.

Any special tools needed or is it just allen keys and pliers etc?

cheers

32mm rockshox forks are super easy to work on.
correct weight fluids are far cheaper if you buy motorbike ones, we use silkolene at work.
most of the time the oil seals are fine, same goes for the motion control cart. if you do need oil seal there isnt much price difference between oe and aftermarket. tf tuned are good guys to deal with.

although you can find them a few quid cheaper on fleabay.

9 times out of 10 all the fork needs is the lowers pulled, the insides cleaned and then rebuild with fresh fluids.

give yourself some time and clean workspace and you will be golden

Cool cheers for that.

I plan on stripping and cleaning and replacing the fluids and to fit new seals while I'm at it.
