Wouldn't surprise me, there used to be more but they cut right back and I believe that is the only one.

So 540 return? (unless £30 admin fee remains same if you book return) Does it include any food and stuff, I mean you will spend about 24 hours on it.

You used to be able to go to Bergen via Lerwick but I think they stopped that one for some reason.

You could go Harwich Esjberg then a short crossing from Denmark.
It will be more than the one you found though.

The only problem with the Immingham crossing is that freight drivers get priority, so DFDS reserve the right to cancel your booking if they need the cabin space.

DFDS do say this when you book - but I have yet to hear of it actually happening to anyone who has used this route. And many have used this route.

My tip would be to speak to DFDS and ask them which is the lowest used crossing of the two per week. dont be paranoid - but do have a plan B.

Sooner or later opinions fade and the name on the tank matters not. I think that happens somewhere between 3rd and 4th gear. Enjoy the ride... everything else takes care of itself.

I recently bought a bike in England and am now in Fetsund, Norway. I used the method above and rode from Denmark to Sweden (stayed in Varberg) and then rode to Oslo the next morning. The Danish ferry sucked though.

You have other options such as getting a ferry from Denmark to Oslo or from Sweden (Gothenburg) to Oslo, or even Germany (Kiel) to Oslo. You can get ferry's to the Netherlands or even Germany which go to Gothenburg as well, but really why not take the opportunity to see some European countryside?
