I really enjoyed this documentary, all 34 parts are on tuber, but the poster is removing on Saturday.

I think the documentary can be compared to Long Way Round. It's addictive viewing.

Get it before you have to pay for it.

I watched a few first episodes then I fast forwarded the rest as it was getting boring.. Not enough exotic countries he was travelling through to keep me interested (c'mon Russia, Canada, US?.. boring). Only Mongolian part was ok.. then it all went downhill.

I expected it to be better.

I got bored of it anyway. Why's he taking it down? Wanting to earn money off it?

I thought it was really good, better then the The Sibirsky project, parallel world and other low budget unsupported ride reports.

The problem is as much as everybody complains about Ewan and Charlies trip being fake and over dramatized that was what made it appealing to the mainstream, it was also a trip that was undertaken to make a DVD, rather then the DVD being a result of the trip.

One guy talking for so long is always going to bore people after a while, especially when there is little drama to talk about in certain parts of the trip but I think he did a decent job of being funny and informative but without coming across as a know it all. Other reports I've seen often come across as talking down to the viewers, "look at me being epic riding across Russia, you couldn't manage this so I'm going to be really patronizing and explain pointless things to you, you can learn a lot from me" type thing.

I watched them all but good luck to him if he tries to sell it as a DVD, I'd probably buy it.

I agree.

I've always though EM and CB got a hard deal over LWR.

If funding a support crew financially meant nothing to you - loose change for EM/LB - wouldn't you have one just for security? I know I would.

Also, they were making a TV show. If it only lasted 20 minutes because EM couldn't fix the puncture himself, it wouldn't make very good tv....

I think NDY is on a par with LRW - but that's as a biker. For non bikers, LRW is far more interesting.

Flamy - no need for the games.

If you had hitman for pc, great.

If not, don't worry.

PM me your address and I'll send you copies. It's a great series, although it tails of significantly when he gets to the States and not much really happens for a few episodes. Also his excess swearing I think lets him down hugely - no need for it.
