As the title really;

There's a few positions that have popped up for triumph over the past few weeks. Obviously id be pretty excited over working what is essentially a dream job.

But I wondered if anyone does or has worked for triumph (or knows anyone that has) and what its like?

What type of position are you applying for? Normal production work is the same irrespective of the factory, repetitive.

Well spotted Steve Thumbs Up
I've applied to work as the CAD design junior; Im actually maybe too old for the position but tried anyway.

My degree is not automotive design specifically so ive went for something more entry level with the hope of moving up.

I have sigs turned off.

I work in automotive but not motorbikes. We take on a lot of CAD contractors. Experience specifically in automotive is not the most important factor, a part is a part. The ability to use Catia well is more important.

What do you define as too old? Personally I believe that you don't get if you don't try. Go for it.

Ah thanks for the insight Itchy.

Im 23 now; HND qualified in CAD, Bsc in product design. I hadn't even considered this avenue because I thought it was quite specialised until i happened to look on the site.

The job advert seemed to be aimed toward school leavers asking for A-levels etc so i was worried that may work against me that im maybe overly qualified.

I've never worked with catia specifically but im guessing it cant be too different although the job advert said that they provide full training anyway.

I don't think there is any specific age limit for junior engineers, I've taken on apprentices in their early twenties.

I would suspect that the salary on offer is fairly low from your description.

If I remember correctly someone on here applied for a job as a design engineer at Triumph and got the job.

Found it!

Haha scorps, no need, triumph offer a bike purchase scheme.

That's encouraging news! Yeah its not quite as well paid as most graduate positions are but to be honest id be happy to take the pay cut to do a job that im interested in.

Ah! Thanks for the pointer, may have to mail Tristan and see what he says

Actually my second interview went, in retrospect, fucking diabolically so I didn't get the job.
