So I'm going to start prepping the 350 for painting soon. Now I'm spraying it black with a white strip along the center of the bike.

Now whats the best way of doing this?

1)spray the center of the tank/mudguard white then mask the stripes off and spray the rest black.

2)Mask the stripes off, spray the black, mask the black off and spray in the white stripes?

Any advice welcomed.

Arrr Yes young man. But all the prev paint posts have been about what is better rattle or gun, what type of paint to use and do I need this that or the other.

I have done minutes of research already on the subject and have small scale experience of airbrushing and I even managed to repaint a reliant robin with 12 tins of hammerite! Laughing

I am asking about detailing which is slightly different although in the same boat.

Cool

Now that you mention that.
We moved into a block of flats a few years ago. We wanted to change the wall paper on the back bedroom.
I met the Irish guy next door, who'd recently papered his back bedroom, and asked him, 'how many rolls of paper to do the back room?' He said, 'Nine.'

So I bought nine but when I'd finished I still had two leftover.
I chinned the cnut when I next saw him on the stair.
I told him, 'I had bought nine rolls, like he'd told me but I'd only used seven, so had bought too much.'

He said, 'That's funny, I had two leftover as well.'
