Hmm Upgrades Already?

So i haven't even picked my bike up yet and i already want to upgrade the head lamp from a single to a double.

Any suggestions what would fit a xj600 1993.

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet but my experience with single lights have all been poor.

As for the upgrade idea i though two light better than one is this not the case?

A lot of double lights are shit when it comes to actually giving out light, plus everyone has them and they look pretty tacky.

If you're going to bodge, say, some ZX6R-J model headlights on there, then yea, you'll probably get more light.

If you haven't had the chance to test it - I suggest you do this first.

A bigger reflector often makes more difference than multiple bulbs.

You can go above a 55/60w bulb (and get a higher spec one) for an easy upgrade, but the higher wattage would be illegal.

However, you can get a 55w HID which is still legal and makes lots more light too.

Two smaller reflectors can easily be worse than one big one.

Had an after market double headlight for my CB-1

Full beam hardly worked, was very dim and there is no place to put all the extra wires/loom behind the headlamp so they just sat there, in a big bundle collecting rain and grime... Needless to say a few prolonged months of bad weather and rain and the whole electrical system died.. I still blame that shitty headlamp.

Recently went out and found an original replacement. Much better.

Tried the light. Its like a mini sun the bike is great im going to enjoy riding and maybe meet a few of you at the bcf bbq Thanks for all the help recently.
