A better range than the Halfords 150 piece set that's at £99.99 half the time (£199 rrp); I suspect all the sockets are metric. More spanners, though no ratchet spanners (but the ones in the halfords kit aren't flex-head, so not so useful to my mind.)

2 year manufacturer warranty.

I've had tools of the same design before and they've done the job fine.
Did break the 1/4" ratchet, but that was through mis-use.

If they were the wall drive version of these tools, I'd be going for it.
As it is, I might get one of the said wall drive sets (from ebay) at some point as my current tools are in a bit of a mess and I'd like a car-set anyway.

------
Extensive range of tools made from chrome-vanadium, chrome-molybdenum or S2 steel
Includes:
- 39 hexagonal sockets
- 18 hexagonal drop-centre sockets
- 14 E-profile sockets
- 3 ratchets with quick-release function
- 3 spark plug sockets
- 5 extensions
- 1 sliding T-bar
- 3 cardan joints
- 12 combination spanners
- 1 screwdriver handle - can also be used as an extension
- 1 screwdriver handle with magnetic bit adaptor
- 74 bits
- 32 bit inserts
- 3 bit adaptors
- 7 hex keys
Supplied in a practical plastic case
2 year manufacturer's warranty

For the record, if I was going for a cheap tool set, I'd go with these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190682579772
https://i.ebayimg.com/t/NEW-94PC-1-2-1-4-SOCKET-SCREWDRIVER-TOOL-TORX-BITS-SET-RATCHET-KIT-BIT-/09/!B5SpykgCGk~$%28KGrHqEOKiUEyUkMKUwhBMtFNUPkCw~~_12.JPG
But I'd be requesting a refund if they weren't wall drive as shown.

And these spanners:

I've got the Silverline spanner set and like it.
That advert claims a lifetime guarentee too.

I bought one of those toolkits as a present for someone and they're not at all bad for the money, but they have a terrible cheap feeling to them and the case looked like it would fall to bits.

I'm going to go to Aldi on monday and see what that set is like... I'm after a set that fits into one big box because I fitted new shocks, a new chain and sprocket set and a Fuel exhaust to my bike today and there's tools lying all over the place. I couldn't be bothered putting them away, will do it in the morning!

I've got my eye on the Lidl set - if the local store has them in stock I may well buy one. Thumbs Up

Thinking Do you know when this offer ends? I'm interested in grabbing me a set. Seeing as I'm borrowing my dads tools every time I need to work on my bike and he keeps forgetting certain sockets and what not which end up being needed, and I'm stuck for a day or more without work being done on my bike. All the Aldi and Lidl stuff is there "while stocks last". Most stores get one shipment and when it's gone, it's gone.

If it's not popular or hasn't been in one store, they may get more. Though, I think there's actually a special Lidl dump-store somewhere around here where they send all the stuff they don't want (which is quite typical for West Yorkshire generally Razz).

Tempted to get the lidl set just for the box because its neat! I like neatness Laughing

Would be a good choice for someone starting out who has no tools. But for most, would just mean having lots of repeats of stuff you've already got. Then again, you get very little for 70 quid these days so probably worth a look if your tools have seen better days.

I got that eBay kit from a car booty about 8yrs ago. I still have almost every piece for it now. Only broke the 1/2" driver a cpl weeks ago using it as a hammer to wack something on the bike lol. And now it only ratchets in one direction! Laughing

Whats a wall drive thingy then?

Wall Drive is the one on the left, it applies the force to the walls of the bolt rather than the points/corners. Means you can apply more torque without rounding off bolt.

Have since purchase a set of the above and they are not walldrive at all!

Cheers for the info - if they don't match the picture, you should have reasonable grounds for a refund etc.

If I do get a set, I'll be sure to confirm they do match the pictures first.

I suspect it may just be a case of which batch they get in or whatever.

Already having the woman telling me the pictures are for illustrated purposes only. Well what ground does that have? Maybe a different colour case and different rubber handles but showing something that is 95% walldrive is misleading surely?!

They don't specify that you mat receive a different product to the one pictured.

Nor do they specify in the advert that pictures are for "illustrative purposes only" (you'd think the point would be to illustrate what you are getting anyway).

A seller to avoid, it seems.

Didn't get the one from that seller but these people. Seems they have updated there terms and conditions.

Yes it doesn't state that it may not be the one I'll get. The product differs by about 95%!

Contain the seller and inform them you wish to return under the distance selling regulations, the 7 day cooling off period starting with the day after the item is received.

If the 7 days has elapsed open an eBay dispute. Ebay will have all the records of your communications - that you gave the seller a reasonable opportunity to rectify the problem - and the changes they made to their terms.

99% certain they will resolve in your favour and it costs nothing to try Smile. Good luck!

This Neilsen set isn't wall drive, but nice shiny chrome and the ratchets look a bit better.
