OK. Ive looked online and the sites have confused me and im not in a right frame of mind to troll through everything at the moment.
Now Since trying to sort all the arrangements out for my mums funeral Ive found out that her partner has no money coming in at all.
They were living of my mums benefits and and savings.
Now ~I think he is around 63 years old so is too young to claim the state pension and pension credit. He hasn't got his work pension yet either.
Now he had a nervous breakdown about 18months ago and was in a hospital for a few months, and since he has been out he has not had any motivation to do anything. I Think my mum croaking it is going to make things a lot worse.
Now I'm trying to help him out as much as i can so I can get him some money but don't know where to start.
Has anyone here been through anything similar? ____________________ Carbon closet tart! https://www.bikepics.com/members/r6stuk/02r6/

Get yourself an appointment at the local benefits office and then explain everything.
They will be able to help you get the appropriate forms and at least you can get the ball started.
I'd say take the father in law but if he's still in a delicate state I would go alone initially and take it from there. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!
