I've just booked myself onto a novice session at a Reclaim our tracks day. Any hints please?

Don't crash in a horrible ball of flames and destroy your bike. Smile

Don't ask BCF for advice on anything.

I have no clue. But firstly would check my insurance will cover the inevitable. Which they won't. Then I'd see how much it would cost to cover it. It would be double our deficit. So I'd have just wasted an hour of my life.

Saved you an hour Smile

It's generally considered good form to go around in the same direction as the other riders.

Be smooth
Work up your speed, dont just 'try' to be quick
Be smooth
use your body, get your ass off that seat to lean.

Throttle control is key to being smooth, dont chop the throttle on and off mid corner.

HAVE FUN is probably the most important, its not about who is quickest and who has the biggest penis or balls, its about coming off track with a massive grin on your face.

Try and film it with bike mounted CAM if permitted. Then upload and provide link for further abuse from YouTube trolls.

Tell them to man up and let us restricted riders on track!!

FYI i believe trackday insurance is around the £100 mark. Saw a massive poster advertising it at Snetterton a little while ago.

Try and do a wheelie at least the length of the start finish straight. If not longer!

Not sure if you've thought of this one, but try not to die, it'll put a dampener on things.

Handlebar muffs. You'll be going faster than you usually do, so it'll be chillier.
