Hi,

I'm new to this site so first off hello!

I'm currently converting my 1997 CG125 BR-T from a perfectly good, reliable commuter to a cafe racer style beast Embarassed
So I bought the cg in October last year, tax and tested for a year for £400 which was a bit of a bargain. It was mechanically sound but a bit rough around the edges so first of all I changed the oil, put in an iridium plug and cleaned the air filter and it ran like a dream! Next I stripped both brakes and fitted new shoes and i was happy

So i rode it to and from work everyday until one day I saw a picture of a cafe racered Cg which got my mind ticking.

Things i have done so far:

Fitted drag bars and new chrome throttle

Removed all fairings and cut away useless bits of frame (still a bit more to do)

Removed seat and rear light assembly, currently making new seat and waiting for integrated light

Fitted new silencer, more like loudener! And wrapped downpipe

New upjetted vm22 with cone filter

Removed battery and fitted a battery eliminator

Removed head and base gaskets, cleaned up surfaces and replaced with fireproof silicon

Fitted -1 tooth front sprocket

Still have loads more to do, but its running sweet and is a lot of fun to ride! Seat will be finished hopefully tomorrow so more pictures to follow.
