A biker returning to bikes after 10 year without one (my mate) one piece of advice what would it be?
He bought one today, he's already had all the knee down shit and how to do it in the pub tonight, from experience what would be your one tip.

or
Do a refresher course.
or

Take it steady and give yourself plenty of time to reacclimatise to riding bikes. It takes time to reacquire old skills and reflexes won't be as sharp as they used to be. Aside of that, enjoy yourself. Thumbs Up

Bikers still nod at each other - although BMW riders are arrogant cunts and will never acknowledge your presence even if you're on the hard shoulder and have just burst into a ball of flame, so just ignore them first before they can blank you. Mr. Green

Don't crash. If you must crash, don't die, unless you've just quadraspazzed yourself.

Do an Apprentiship Thumbs Up

Its all fine and dandy having all the paperwork, knowledge and theory based knowhow. But you really can't beat working in the field for learning.

Get out there and ride! Stick to roads you know and try and master low speed manouvers while attempting to clock up as much mileage as possible, practice makes perfect.

If you're only going to practice one thing, make it an emergency stop, in different weather conditions - get to know how your brakes and tyres act before you get the SMIDSY.

Rule 1: Look where you want to go.

Not at the clutch, gear lever, speedo, pothole, outside edge of the corner, patch of gravel, other bikers, women in short skirts or indeed, your reflection in shop windows.
