Your indicators not working is a fail. if you fix them and all other electrics work, try and book it for a mot that does a free re test. ____________________ My opinion is neither copyrighted nor trademarked. If you like, I'll trade for one of yours.

If this is the same bike https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=273242.
You scooter will exceed more than 30mph with the upgrades therefore will be issued with VT32. This will affect the price you can ulitmaty sell if for because the new owner will have to get it re tested with fixed indicators.
Also slik tires if they are slik tires and not normal tires, are not road legal and will fail a mot.
You will not be able to sell if for as much as you want thus not having the money for a 125.

Theres you answer. quote - you do not need indicators to pass an MOT. You will be issued with a VT32 (advisory notice) stating that the vehicle may :
1. Only be used during daylight hours.
2. Not used at times of seriously reduced visibility.
Since it's a 50cc scooter. If the motorcycle has a top speed not exceeding 30mph (50kph) you do not need indicators fitted and no VT32 will be given.
If your indicators are visible and not working you will fail an MOT. To pass you must ensure your indicators are removed or painted or masked over.[/quote]
thats helpful but i would still ride during the night -.- .. i think its just my electrics so im going to get them checked and rewired but my plan is mostly to put 12 months mot and tax and then ride it for 1 month and upgrade to a 125, also the good thing is my bike will sell easily as the last 2 owners were well known from the bike and everyone wanted to buy it while it worked .. |
