Well my peak decided to detach from the helmet doing about 80mph last night ripped clean off... Bloody hurt my neck as it caught the wind then flexed then just ripped off. Any one else got a Hornet DS helmet had similar problems?

My lid doesn't have a peak, but aren't you supposed to remove those at motorway speeds? The DS manual says to remove the peak during "high speed riding" (p13).

The plastic screws that hold the visor and peak on break easily, I replaced mine with stainless steel dome allen bolts not had any issues since.

I imagine that most "beaked" lids would be.

The peak coming off in the wind doesn't sound right but they break easily for a reason. Namely if you fall off. Strengthening the peak probably isn't the best of ideas.
