Report it to the police. You'll need to to get a crime number. Then you can make a claim off his insurance.

You can get their details from the DVLA for a small fee.

Yeah you should probably blur the reg too if you're gonna leave that image up on the public forum meight. It could prejudice any potential outcome - you allege that vehicle did damage etc.

He just needed to claim that he took his phone out to call 999 and took the photo while doing so. They should be investigating it as a non-stop rtc, if they're not then get your mate to head to a local station and ask to speak to a sergeant.

It's feasable.
Have you seen some of the prices that are being charged for replacing something as simple as a cracked rear bumper?

I think a decent speed would be needed to do damage other than flex it and scuff it?

Bumpers only seem to crack when they are bashed right into the beaver panel - thats going to take some force!

My mates car got scuffed at traffic lights last month, the bumper looked fine just looked like there was paint from the other car on it. Would have easily cleaned out. Cost £2500 to replace it, I didn't believe him till he showed me the invoice. Thankfully the other guys insurance paid it.

Blah blah.

I was more wondering how its possible for a bike to cause 500quids worth of damage on the M69. Unless the car was stationary at the time and the bike rear ended the car.

There is never standstill traffic on that road....

OE parts are damn expensive and the owner has every right to have the damaged parts to be replaced with OE, I wouldn't accept pattern parts either, they tend to be poor quality and tend not to fit straight off the shelf.
As for the police being concerned about taking the photo, no surprise there seeing as they can fine you for that Rolling Eyes useless fuck pigs.

Female witness was unconscious at the time having been chloroformed. But came round shortly after. Has since disappeared leaving no contact details or forwarding address.

Oh... I agree... it is a very valid question....... the mind does boggle somewhat...

But...... Since I moved to this district.... I have learned that when perplexed and confused.... IF.... you wish to remain merely mildly bewildered.....

DON'T ask for explanations!

The answer is often far more mind-bendingly confounding than whatever begged the question.

I'd be surprised if the phone wasn't in a holder attached to the windscreen. Quick tap of the screen = photo.
