That was on tv the other week. Informative, but the voice over was annoying after a while and although there was a lot of good interview footage with people who knew and raced with him (Ron Haslam, John McGuinness and many more), a lot of it was repetitive and could have been edited down to improve the documentary (less would have been more).
There could have been some comment on the mental people around him.
Like his mechanic... yeah the one who looks a little unhinged and feeds a tiger by sticking his arm into the cage with a big steak in his hand.
Seriously, wtf was that? It really needed someone to pull the whole thing together and make sense of it.
Clearly Joey was a great racer and a nice guy, the documentary doesn't do him justice. |
