Talking about easily confused and gullible, didn't you read the article? 
The claim was that she used an earpiece to have information relayed to her from accomplices.
Under current English law, the burden of proof lies with the person making the libellous claim.
The Mail knew that they couldn't prove it on balance of probability, so threw their hands up and back-tracked.
That's all, there's no acceptance that she has dangerous brain powers. That would have been a better story though, so let's pretend that's what it was about.
Outrageous! Farcical! Shouldn't ought to be allllllowed.

You could test her out by going to the show with a broadband radio jammer , turn it on and watch her show fall apart .or alternativly monitor all the communication frequencies ,wireless and bluetooth...........IMHO (learnt that on bcf!) its an established racket with plants in the audience , radio recivers ,and , especially thesedays probably datamining members of the audience the moment they book their ticket on line!
Where are you Doris Stokes?.Mam..Dad , Grandad ...is there anybody there ? no....but an integrated team that are stagecraft orientated......
as an experiment when watching telly......try to not laugh when you heard canned laughter...you'll quickly see how easy it is to trick people.

What the 'Borg says.
Nobody is saying psychics can or cannot talk directly to the dead, this is about a specific comment about a specific instance.
It transpired that the Fail could not substantiate this claim, hence it is libelous. Easiest 125K ever.

It's true she's an idiot fraudster. I have no evidence but it's just true so there. If she really thinks she can speak to dead people, she needs to be psychologically analysed and be considered for admission to an institution.
But that's beside the point.
She has made a career of presenting herself to people in this way on stage. She's like any other performing artist. So the Mail did damage her career, as an actor.
Then again... she's making money on false promises. I guess it is fraud.
Hmmmm. Then again, I dunno who the bigger idiot is - her or the audience.
Hmmmm... I'm gonna say she is the greater of the evils here. In the same way as most of us hate on religion for being so indoctrinating to the masses, she is doing the same. So she is at fault. Yeah.
And so I now conclude  . The Daily Mail were right to give her bad press... even if they couldn't prove anything, society at large would agree that she sells false promises, so she is a fraud and the unprovable claims from the newspaper are in exactly the same territory as her unprovable claims of talking to the dead. Her career is fraudulent on many levels. She should be ridiculed by all. She's basically a quack. |
