I bought a Rukka jacket and overtrousers in January. (see thread). The gear wasn't top of the line, but still very expensive for me. One of the selling points was a five-year guarantee. The kit has been brilliant at keeping me warm and dry, but one of the zippers on the trousers is starting to go -- the teeth are pulling out of one section. I still waiting for it to get worse, but it's now taking me a couple of minutes each time I take them on or off to carefully get the zipper over the bad spot. Has anyone tried to claim on Rukka's warranty? How does it work? Do you need to bring it back to the original shop?

You must have put on a few kilos/stones... Razz

I am looking at the Rukka (As they say it's Pukka Embarassed ) now... but the ££££ is a bit FFS!!! Shocked

I hope they sort it for you.
I am certain if you go back to the dealer they will sort you out.
Your first port of call is the cnuts you bought it off. Rukka will refer you to them.
If no joy contact Rukka.

(and then imediately pm walloper @ bcf.com with the result before the silly fcuker forks out on a bum outfit.)

Rukka warranty is good, you will need proof of purchase, but they usually take back the item and test it at their premises if it requires repair they will repair and return, if a replacement is necessary they will replace. However you are without your item for the duration of the process.

Some years ago i had a jacket which faded to almost maroon (it should have been black) I took mine back to the shop of purchase and they loaned me a jacket whilst mine was away (the loan was a used item which they had specifically for this purpose) the jacket was replaced but it took a month.

It turned out to be very easy. I just took the trousers and a sales receipt to the nearst place that sell Rukka (not where I bought it from, but the same chain). It now goes back to Rukka for repair or replacement. The store said it might take a couple of weeks and they'll call me when it's ready. Not too painful! I have leather trousers that I got off of eBay for the interim.
