Wow, that was a rivetting watch.

I don't think you have much to worry about. Since they couldn't open your gate, or knock out the security light even with five people.

What's worrying is these little fuckwits were able to ponder about trying to break in for nearly half an hour without a raising any suspicion.

OP, I'd get another cam rigged up to show anyone tampering with that one, ideally to get a good facial if they come back.
Having that on Youtube shows them what your field of vision is, you need to exploit that or get a hidden cam or 2 up.

When you mentioned the words Darfield and Scum, my immediate thoughts were the residents of Ings Road. Having viewed the footage, I no longer believe that to be the case.
They appear to be untroubled by the ''security'' light or the fact that they are overlooked by houses across the road and either side of yours. This would suggest that they are worthless, feral scum who have no fear of the consequences of being apprehended.
A good idea would be to wire up a PIR triggered buzzer that alerts you to the presence of intruders. Such a system is inexpensive and very simple to install.
I have another top-tip for you; Don't post, on a publicly accessible forum, your intentions of carrying out vigilantes justice. The courts take a very dim view of peoples that dish-out appropriate punishments and you have been foolish in broadcasting your intentions of so doing.

God almighty I can't believe you're actually suggesting firing a shotgun at someone for trying to nick a bike...

.22 subsonic rimfire would make far less mess and a moderated rifle wouldn't disturb the neighbours.

I'm not sure if it's pleasing or worrying that it took them over 20 minutes to figure out to open the gate. Scum of the earth though. If I ever caught someone on my property I don't reckon wild horses could do much to stop me.

You could get some sort of concealed weapon system, there were tens of people here in CZE, that secured their recreational cabins like that and the court said it was adequate protection of property Thumbs Up

Just put there a sign DO NOT ENTER, and when they enter they're gonna get some small pieces of metal in the arse, beware of kids though.

My moderated Sako 30-06 would still bother the neighbours, and their neighbours...probably their neighbours too.
