Just brought a supermoto - what to wear ?

I just brought a supermoto to ride mainly on the road, and probably some green laneing in the future..I was wondering what gear to buy & wear ?

I have full leathers from my sportsbike but I cant wear that, as I would look a right nonce.. Saying that I am going to stick with the leather trousers and boots.. But what about the top half ?

Do I buy full armour protection and a moto shirt to stick on the top. Or do I buy a textile jacket with body armour included..

Also do I go for a moto helmet with goggles or just stick with my regular black road helmet ?

Any thoughts and suggestions.. ? Which is best set up, what advantages, disadvantages are there to wearing moto gear on road?

Don't bother with the off-road helmet and goggle combo. I did, and the amount of hassle it brought to daily riding was a nightmare. I also crashed early on wearing my off road lid, and I'm sure the visor is the thing that knocked me out cold for 10 minutes (woke up with a blanket and ambulance crew surrounding me).

So leathers and a road helmet is my recommendation.

You have to wear a hoodie with slogan on it, MX gloves with no protection, and normal jeans.

Just wear the leathers and look badass, I would wear an MX lid but one with a visor.

I wear one piece leathers,MX boots,enduro lid and goggles as well as sport bike gloves.It is not about the look but preparing for the off should it occur.

If I had full leathers, I'd wear them, even on my SM pit bike. The road hasn't changed. Just what your riding.

But I don't. So I wear: MX lid, textile jacket, medium weight gloves with a good compromise of feel/protection, Leather trousers and MX Boots.

The difference between these two words is a very simple one. They are the past tenses of two different verbs.
