This -----> . is a full stop. This ----> , is a comma.

They are used in the process of stringing a sentence together.

I could give you advice about your bike, I have seen engines run with no spark to high revs but as you have been rude I think I will decline.

Out of curiosity, ignoring the retarded OP, can you get run away on a petrol engine the same as on a diesel? Is the compression high enough? And where would the feed come from?

I have seen that happen, normally if the crankcase gets flooded with fuel from a stuck float valve.

What causes the ignition though? Carbon buildup glowing hot enough to do the job?

Yup and I have seen spark plugs melt and cause ignition ( this was on top fuel Drags running Nitromethane ) take the spark away and the only way the engine can run is by compressive ignition.

This is perfectly possible. It leads, of course, to uncontrolled ignition timing which can lead to uncontrolled piston, valve and/or crankshaft damage.

As people have said - you need to give more info. Could be dieselling, could be something else. Some bikes run direct off the magneto and need no power from the ignition. The engine is killed by grounding the coil to put out the spark.

One thing's for sure - don't take any more advice from whoever suggested striping down the top-end as a first course of action.

Funny. You can always spot a Grammar Nazi by the paradox that while their punctuation, grammar and spelling is impeccable they never have anything interesting to say.

1. identify the motorbike in question.
2. What modifications have you done recently that may have caused this ... even if you are positive they have not or could not.
3.More information which proves to not be relevant is better than no information at all.
