The stage is set for a decent race I think. Rossi is reporting braking improvements and its the last 'Yamaha track' for a while. I reckon unless Alvaro 'torpedo' Bautista skittles him out of the race, Jorge will be unstoppable. Cal has a decent chance but doesn't have the best of records at Assen. DP and MM to take each other out; its been coming for a while and I reckon it'll finally happen this round

Any other predictions?

Remember the race is on SATURDAY. Not Sunday.

Lorenzo will probably walk it, which will make for a really interesting, exciting race. Oh, wait...

Marquez for the win, just pipping Lorenzo. Crutchlow 3rd whilst Pedrosa goes off in search for a gravel trap.

He crashes way too much at the moment to be on a factory bike imo.

He doesn't know when he's beaten and often crashes trying to keep up with riders who are faster, he needs to learn when to stop pushing and take what he has.

The top riders all learned this much quicker than he has

I'm not sure I completely agree there. You're right about the learning curve they all seem to take but you have to remember they're all individuals and they're all on prototype bikes pretty much built just for them. In my humblest of opinions, Cal has taken to prototypes much better than others from the past and he's mid-learning curve at the moment.
Look at You'reGay. He crashed like a spaz a couple seasons back, seemed like every single race! Pedro too. Even Marquez the year before last managed to look two directions at once as a result of crashing so bloody much!
Cal is in the right place at the moment, I don't think a factory ride would make much difference to his times or places. Saying he should learn to button it off isn't ever going to happen, he just needs to learn the limits, like everyone else has (and will, like Marquez)

If it's bad, this is going to be Pedrosa's season.

I think this is likely to be the last chance for Pedrosa to win a championship or otherwise be known as the best rider to never be a champion.

Marquez will only get faster and faster on that Honda, and Lorenzo ain't slowing up and has a few years on him

Was just speaking to a work colleague this morning on how an injury could seriously throw this championship wide open Confused If it's a bad injury then i can see Marquez taking it from Pedrosa.

Cal is 25/1 at the moment. Definitely worth an e/w shot.

According to motogp.com Lorenzo is undergoing surgery tomorrow so looks like he will miss the race on Saturday,

This is definitely Pedrosa's championship to lose now. Will he throw it down the track pushing to stay ahead of Marquez? Thinking

With Lorenzo out, I think Rossi could be a good shout for this race, especially if it's raining.

With Lorenzo out I'll go for the next best Yam rider - Crutchlow.

Stoner?
Lorenzo?
Rossi?

All prolific crashers in their first season.

True with the 1 DNF, however, it was caused by the exact same reasons as almost all his other crashes in previous seasons.

MotoGP doctors are not restricted to NHS guidelines? Laughing

Yeah, there's a single DNF. He's had some pretty hoofing get-offs though, don't you agree?

JLo may race after all.

MM has just high sided massively on slicks, broken finger and bruised hip and ribs.
