Might sound like a stupid question but just to clarify.... Is it illegal to ride with a walkman on; with earphones in? Is it illegal to have a mobile headet in, whether it be bluetooth or wire or handfree? Since you can buy radio headsets to connect 2 helemts between pillion and rider that would need a headset, and for CBT you have to wear a headset, so if it was music coming through the headset/earphones, would it be illegal?

'nuff said mark.

Theres a big thread from about a week ago on this subject, the legal stance and the safety stance are not always the same thing.

Have a look on the search.

Hi

Think there is not direct law against it, but I think people have been done for driving without due car and attention for using them. General advice to avoid this used to be to only use a single earphone.

All the best

Keith

If your too worried about the music affecting your hearing of things around you dont have it on asloud (obviously).

But always remember whatever your listening to it isnt real music unless its metallica.

Can you even hear the music?

You cant hear a walkman if a car drives past you loudly, so I doubt you can hear one whilst youre on a motorbike

I sometimes ride listening to my MP3 player. Most annoying things is getting the earphones in the right place and then getting my lid off at the end of the journey. Thumbs Up

I try to avoid listening to certain genres of music while riding in the winter or I get a little too aggressive in my style of riding.

I listen to the radio quite often when riding (got an autocom) and I find that I often ride slower when listening to music than I do without, not conciously but I'm not really sure why!!?? Wierd! Neutral
