Euro tunnel tickets...prices for 2 weeks.

I'm looking on the euro tunnel price page, And a 1-2 days is £23. But say I wanted to return around 2 weeks later, do I have to purchase the Single or long stay ticket at £64? (each way I assume(?)).
If this is the case, why not book a £29 ticket, and then another £29 to come back......am I being stupid?

Also, as it could potentially be £128 would ferry be a cheaper alternative?

If you book a return ticket it won't be more than about £75, booking singles will cost you loads.

Staying for a couple of weeks makes the ferry much cheaper.

I just checked that out, I think the ferry will be a more favourable option.
