Am I the only one with a cursed bike?

Last year I bought a Hyosung GT 250 and it was very tidy/shiny and clean.
Hmmm? I thinks to my self "I`ll try and keep this one in good condition"
WRONG WRONG WRONG Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
Every time I take that damm bike out of the garage , It fugging rains Evil or Very Mad Shocked
I`ve put about 6000 miles on it and out of that, only about 50 miles have been in the dry????

I also have a smelly old Superdream in the garage and when I take that out , blow me down the sun shines Confused ?
If I try to swap at the last moment , it starts to cloud over Shocked .
If I didn't know any better , I would think God is watching me Shifty

Anyway : rant over Smile
Do any of you lot have a bike of doom?

I got my current bike in 2007, the first time I went out with it I got absolutely soaked by an unpredicted major thunderstorm, and we haven't really had a decent summer since.
Did have similar thoughts at one time!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the Gods of biking are easily angered. Do not offend them - make daily offerings and libations of oil and coolant. Remember too that they embrace irony - as can be seen in the fact that they smile upon the 250N. Mr. Green

I get the same thing with my Hyosung GT650R. I think the rain God thinks "urghh look at that piece of Chinese shit". Like most ignorant buggers he must be clueless as to the fact that the bike is Korean, and basically a Suzuki Evil or Very Mad

If I got a quid for every time I used that line...

Just to re-enforce everything I said in the first post : I went out on the poopy-dream today and the sun was shining and the roads I was riding on were clear and dry Smile ???

It seems to be a common misconception that bikes melt in the rain. Laughing

Don't be fooled by the looks or Honda badge, that thing was a properly cursed bike and from what I gather it's still just as bad to this day Smile

They lie. Being a rain goddess I have my own personal weather demons that follow me everywhere no matter which bike I am out on.

I have the distinction of going out to a bike meet one evening in July a couple of years back, it had been a beautiful day all day, warm and sunny, not a cloud in the sky, gentle breeze etc.

As I got the Shiny Bike out of the garage a single small cloud appeared. All around was still blue and gorgeous, in perspective if I put my hand out at arms length in front of me this cloud was so small my view of it was completely obscured.

So off I went, I'd just got on the M57 (which is almost exactly halfway to where I was going) when I realised that the small cloud was now right above me. It hailed on me. Crying or Very sad

No word of a lie, I got to the meet (Scotch Piper in Lydiate) and all around me were riders in tshirts basking in the evening sunshine - I arrived looking like a drowned rat. You couldn't make it up.......

Last bike I bought private. No wind protection, no screen (well unless you call the wee bit of plastic a screen) and I forgot to bring my ferkin gloves. I rode the hoowur 600 miles home. (Detoured to Glasgow en route) I think it pished down all the fecking way home. But that 'new bike syndrome' protected me. Smile

It has rained since but I've not had a good soaking.
