Browsing Ebay this week, I found a ZL400 going for silly money. Put it on watch, and tonight I have won it! It's scruffy & needs some work, but as I live with a mechanic that shouldn't be too hard.

As I can't legally ride it for another 18 months unless I restrict it, I'm thinking about doing a bit of customising on it. Not chopping, just making it a bit personal so maybe some stainless pipes, slab yokes, custom seat & paintjob.

I know it's probably not to the taste of most of you, but I reckon I got a real bargain, can't wait to have 54 bhp instead of 27. Laughing

Hi

Plenty of time to strip it down and get the frame powder coated.

Go for it.

All the best

Er, my EL250 that's on the road, another EL250 that will either be broken for bits or restored (if he can get the damn engine apart! see techy section), the ZL400, a VT500 Shadow that's not UK registered yet and a VT500 (standard) that we have broken for bits for mine - that's all of mine!

Then there's his VT500, his VF700 Magna, his 2 XS650s, his XS750 (to go on Ebay soon), his RV125, his 2 monkey bikes and the RatScoot (still somewhat bent). And possibly the VMax we went to see last week that is also silly money!

Oh, and the lad's Sym 100!

*I must not but any more bikes, I must not buy any more bikes, I must not buy any more bikes...*
